Welcome aboard the latest attempt at reviving the WeBL Welcoming Crew. Years ago WeBL had the WeBL Welcoming Crew (WWC). It was a group of players who welcomed new players to the game and introduced them to some of the game concepts, community forums, etc.
You have been chosen to be in the latest version of the WeBL Welcoming Crew because you either expressed interest in helping promote the game, because you have voluntarily done so in the past, or because you benefited from this help site in the past and understand how important it can be. This isn't an official staff position - but if you prove yourself a capable contributor here, it could possibly lead to an increased role in the leadership of the game. It's pretty much what got me here
The goal of the WWC is player retention. You will be asked to reach out to new players, introduce them to the game, and most importantly, lead them to this site. I'll give you the tools you need to do this and provide you with some tips and leads as they come to me. I will continue to try to reach out to new players as often as possible myself, but as I focus on this site, the archives, mod duties, and the new players that are already here, its hard for me to find much time to search/contact new players in the game.
If you're interested in giving back to this great game by taking part in this Welcoming Crew, I assure you that your efforts will be much appreciated. If you do not want to be a part of this - please ask and I will remove you from this group. There will be no hard feelings and you can continue using this site, and I'll continue to help you in any way as nothing ever happened.
