I have a first fight scheduled against an opponent with the exact same height and weight. My fighter has a normal build, so I have absolutely no way to tell which attribute I have an advantage in. If my opponent has:
Very Hvy - Then I have a STR + 2, AGL - 3, and either SPD/CHN/CND + 1 Normal - Unknown advantage Very Light - I have AGL + 1, STR - 3 and SPD/CHN/CND + 2
Since I can't be certain to have an advantage in any style, my thought is to train speed and slap my way to an early lead, then since V. Hvy is the most likely build, run 4/6/10 (clinch) to protect against KO attempts. Anyone have any better ideas?

Don't be afraid to use no style. I use it regularly at 70 aps against similar build/ht opponents.
Hard to say whether you should slap in this fight since we don't know what type of fighter you are running. A little more info may make it easier for us to give you some advice.

It is difficult to tell you what style to use without seeing your fighter build. I suggest using the style that your fighter is more weighted toward, regardless of his opponent's build. Scouting early in your opponent's career is not always easy and may be further off than first thought. If he truly is balanced, nostyle may be the way to go, as Senator already pointed out. If it is a strong type of fighter, check endurance often and be prepared to slap late to win. If it is a weak fighter, you may want to go very high agg.

My fighter is a balanced fighter because I figured that was a great way to practice writing a variety of fight plans depending on my opponent's strengths and weaknesses. That's also why I took normal build, to throw off scouting so they can't be certain what my strength is. I think I've got a decent plan that will hopefully adjust my level of aggressiveness depending on my opponent's strategy. The no style suggestion helps a lot, I'll admit I was too afraid to try it.

No style is ok with a Balanced fighter senator is right..With your normal build it be tougher to manage a fighter but fast tracking is off now so that will help..Just Scout him as best as you can and sim your plan and try out no style I use it with bal fighters alot

Previously if your fighter was on a win streak he would Fastrack. Instead of gaining one ap per status increase he would move up 2 status points and gain 2 attribute points. This is why you have two training options.
Example a 1-0 fighter, having been on a win streak, would pick up 2 ap's with a win and be sitting at 2-0 3(3) for his next fight. Win it and he would be 5(5).
It helped speed up undefeated fighters getting to contenders
